Our campus is home to more than 75,000 students, 10,000 faculty and staff, and waves of visitors for special events. You have been here at class change — there are a lot of us walking around. Keep these tips in mind to safely make it to your destination.
When Walking on Campus
As you walk across campus, be mindful at intersections and do not assume vehicles, bike riders or those on PEVs have seen you.
We have designated crosswalks, some of which have additional features installed to help slow traffic or provide a warning there are pedestrians. Please watch for these and cross only at marked crosswalks.
Headphones allow us to stay connected with family, friends or the latest podcast, but make it a habit to keep headphones on “transparent” mode or remove them altogether as you move across campus on foot.
Like headphones, saving screen time for when you arrive at your destination safely will help you get there quicker, too.
