When driving on campus

  • When driving, stay alert and be mindful of others, whether that is pedestrians, cyclists, AggieSpirit bus drivers or those on PEVs.
  • Just like on the highway, check your sideview and rearview mirrors before turning to double check there are no cyclists or PEVs approaching your same intersection.
  • Be mindful at intersections and do not assume pedestrians, cyclists or those on PEVs have seen you.
  • When possible, consider adopting a “Park Once” philosophy to limit the amount of vehicles traveling on campus.
  • Remember, bike lanes are just that, bike lanes. These are not intended for parking or drop-offs.
  • The gates across campus indicate authorized access only. Only specific permit holders can enter these areas of campus.
  • Watch for our designated crosswalks, some of which have additional features installed to help slow traffic or provide a warning there are pedestrians.
  • Saving screen time for when you arrive at your destination safely will help you get there quicker, too.
