From employees and students to visitors and contractors, we have the capacity to park more than 37,000 vehicles at any given time on our campus. Using these tips can help you safely make it from point A to point B, and everywhere in between.
When driving on campus
When driving, stay alert and be mindful of others, whether that is pedestrians, cyclists, AggieSpirit bus drivers or those on PEVs.
Just like on the highway, check your sideview and rearview mirrors before turning to double check there are no cyclists or PEVs approaching your same intersection.
Be mindful at intersections and do not assume pedestrians, cyclists or those on PEVs have seen you.
When possible, consider adopting a “Park Once” philosophy to limit the amount of vehicles traveling on campus.
Remember, bike lanes are just that, bike lanes. These are not intended for parking or drop-offs.
The gates across campus indicate authorized access only. Only specific permit holders can enter these areas of campus.
Watch for our designated crosswalks, some of which have additional features installed to help slow traffic or provide a warning there are pedestrians.
Saving screen time for when you arrive at your destination safely will help you get there quicker, too.
